TO ALL MY FAMILY, FRIENDS & FANS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AND ALL OVER THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:
It looks like I may have a very good shot at making it in the NFL. If that happens, and I end up able to help take care of my family, especially my mom who has done so much for me, I know it will all be because of what the University of Arkansas did for me, in giving me both the football training and the academic education I've enjoyed over the last three years.
This letter is written to simply tell you, my family, friends and fans throughout the State of Arkansas -- THANK YOU! for all your support and encouragement these past three years, and thank you to Coach Nutt and Coach Markuson, my teammates, and Hog fans, for believing in me.
I have spent the last couple months getting ready for my job interviews and pro timing days. When I got back a few days ago, after being gone from home for three months, It really hit me just how much I missed it, and how much it means to me to be a part of the community that is Arkansas. Thinking back on how good it felt to hear a fan yell out my name to encourage me, not even knowing if I could hear them (I heard you!), brought that warm feeling of family over me again.
This is my home and you all are my family. My hope is that the University of Arkansas and the people of this State will feel proud of me. I will never ever forget what you all have done for me.
With warmest regards,

Shawn Andrews #73
