Reid on Andrews' neck injury: "I think he is going to be OK"

The neck injury that prevented all-pro guard Shawn Andrews from playing in the second half of Saturday's 27-24 loss against the New Orleans Saints was a severe bruise, Eagles coach Andy Reid said.
"He's not exactly sure when it happened, but he had a tremendous amount of swelling there," Reid said. "He went in at halftime and he was actually having a tough time seeing, so they rushed him to the emergency room and had him checked out." >>read more at philly.com>>

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles free safety Brian Dawkins and right guard Shawn Andrews were named yesterday Associated Press first-team All-Pro, placing them among the top 22 position players in the NFL. Last month, Dawkins and Andrews were named starters for the NFC Pro Bowl team.

PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Eagles guard Shawn Andrews says opposing defensive linemen didn't take him seriously his first two seasons. But motivated to change by the death of a friend, Andrews has transformed himself from a 385-pounder barely able to get down in a stance to a Pro Bowler who often knocks opponents 10 yards off the line of scrimmage.
